With decades of experiences in events and hospitality, we know it’s all about the small details. With a vision and a simple goal of bringing people together, Cody is the heart behind Opal Hill Events.
Cody brings his deep knowledge of the land—whether he’s foraging mountain herbs for a cocktail garnish or picking homegrown wildflowers for a beautiful table setting. He is the creative mind behind the flow of every celebration, making sure each guest feels cared for and every moment feels intentional.
Opal Hill Events blends hospitality, nature, and artistry to create experiences that stay with you long after the last toast.
And yes, the goats are family too.
Meet the Team
Cody Robbins
With over 30 years in the service industry, Cody is constantly growing and evolving in the craft of hospitality. Living off-grid by choice and being at one with the environment; embracing all things that are simple and true to him. From the farm fresh eggs that go into a whiskey sour, to the comic relief of his friendly livestock companions. His biodynamic farming style brings an air of self-sufficiency and freedom.
Meet Alice
After successfully earning her doctorate in astrophysics Alice decided to go a different direction into photography. Her iteration of the classic wedding photos has inspired The Goatobooth, that we now proudly offer at Opal Hill events.
Meet Brent
As a nationally ranked powerlifter Brent’s hard work ethic led him to one of the highest ranking strong goats in his weight class. But the years of wear and tear and anabolic steroids led him down a more peaceful path living on the homestead of Opal Hill. He is the gentle giant of the herd. But watch out, he’ll faint.
Meet Marvin
After dropping out of community college Marvin got high ranking position at SpaceX. But ultimately the stress of the Mars mission sent him on his own journey. Hitchhiking around Southeast Asia and China developing a broad understanding of multiple dialects and cultures. He has been working on his book for 6 years now. When he’s not in deep meditation Marvin is on a constant lookout for snacks and snuggles.
